Sokolec and Rzeczka are two different villages which are situated in two different regions (Rzeczka is situated in the region of Walim and Sokolec in the region of Nowa Ruda). But they are connected on the Sokola Pass (Przelecz Sokola), 754 meters above the sea level. The main attraction of the town is a huge selection of ski-lifts and ski runs. Most of local ski lifts are situated in Rzeczka, but there are also some in Sokolec.
