Zieleniec is the biggest ski resort in Kotlina Klodzka (one of the biggest in the mountain chain of Sudety). It is a district of Duszniki Zdroj. Zieleniec is situated at the height of about 950 meters above the sea level, in the Gory Orlickie mountain chain. This town has its own specific microclimate (the only one like this in Poland) – similar to alpine climate. According to the specific pressure structure of the air masses, the local microclimate forces a human body to increase the production of red blood cells – in the effect the health of people, who stay in Zieleniec even for few days, is getting better.

The north slopes of Zieleniec, a perfect skiing areas and a huge amount of snow and rain falls in winter (1300 mm for year, from which about 40% appears in the period between November and March) cause that snow is still laying on the slopes for about 150 days a year. Zieleniec offers 20 ski lifts, which transport ability is about 11000 people per hour.
